Averitt Recognized as a Best Large Employer

Averitt Express was recently named to Forbes magazine’s list of 2019 America’s Best Large Employers.

The Cookeville, Tenn.-based carrier came in at No. 311 on the list of 500 companies, the 11^thamong 18 Transportation and Logistics companies on the list. It ranked No. 13 among the 2019 Best Employers in Tennessee.
 
To create the list, Forbes teamed up with independent market research company Statista to survey 50,000 Americans employed by businesses with a workforce of at least 1,000. Respondents were asked how likely they would be to recommend their company to others. They also were asked to nominate companies from industries outside their own.
 
The final list ranked the top 500 large companies featuring more than 5,000 employees, and the top 500 mid-size companies with workforces of 1,000-5,000.
 
Averitt Express provides freight transportation and supply chain management with international reach to more than 100 countries. Its customized transportation solutions include cross-border, dedicated, expedited ground/air, less-than-truckload, temperature-controlled, transportation management, truckload (dry van, flatbed, brokerage) and warehousing services.
