Bay & Bay Transportation has recently announced a 4-cents-a-mile pay bump for experience drives and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for company drivers joining the fleet.
The pay raise was effective Dec. 7. Experienced drivers joining the carrier will now start at up to 58 cents per mile, while existing company drivers’ pay has been increased by four cents per mile across the fleet.
Lease drivers start at 70 percent of the revenue on the load and new/late model equipment is available (lease trucks are governed at 75 MPH).
“Our drivers are the heartbeat of our organization,”Bay & Bay president and CEO Sam Anderson said. “We have seen over the past months how important our drivers are to keeping America open for business. It’s critical to offer a compensation package that makes this a career, not just a job.”
Bay & Bay’s respect for drivers shows up in its safety conscious culture, which led the Truckload Carriers Association to recognize the carrier as the Safest Fleet by the for Division IV (25-49.99 million miles). Bay & Bay’s level of safety remains the gold standard in trucking.
Since 1941, Quality, Driven, and Tradition have been the pillars to the company culture at Bay & Bay Transportation.
“Pay is just one piece of what we have to offer at Bay & Bay,” said Michael Blair, Driver Recruitment Manager. “Drivers also enjoy our state-of-the art facilities, modern equipment, and family culture. We can get you home and help make sure your family comes first.”
