HM: What do you think helps you be the most successful when recruiting drivers for your company?
JM: Staying up-to-date on changes is key! Changes occur daily. Being well organized, self-motivated, and willing to go the extra mile is vital to ensure that your drivers onboarding experience is a success.
HM: What is the most common question you get from drivers aside from the basic pay, home time, etc.?
JM: Do you offer Class A CDL training?
HM: And what would you say is the weirdest question or request you have received from a successful applicant?
JM: “I have to travel to go to school?”
HM: What separates CRST as a company from other carriers?
JM: Proud to be able to advise my applicants that starting out as an Over-the-Road driver is just the start of their career within CRST Enterprise. Our drivers are assigned career advisors who reach out to them at their third month to discuss their career path and what they would like to do long-term with CRST. The advisor will collaborate with the driver to transition them based on their career goals.
HM: Could you identify some qualities that might draw your eye to a specific applicant?
JM: Thrilled to interview applicants who are ready to start their career. Applicants who demonstrate strong communication skills standout. Let’s get you trained & hired for a long term driving career with CRST!
HM: Do you find that people are coming to you just looking for a job or is there a passion for driving there?
JM: The hiring culture has definitely changed. 2020 has reminded us of the value and importance of being apart of a well established Enterprise. Being able to share our companies history & stability is an excellent testament to CRST’s leadership.
